about us

We are a restaurant/wine bar on Chandos road, Bristol. Casual Italian inspired dining in a relaxed environment serving pasta & small plates. The restaurant was once owned by Keith Floyd which is rather fitting as we put a huge emphasis on wine with a selection so vast that we can hardly contain it!

Snobby’s opened in 2019, shortly before the first lockdown came into play. Our owner Nick Bethell followed his father’s footsteps in the drinks and hospitality industry and strived to open a wine bar from a young age. After ten years in the industry that idea was finally made a reality. With the help of his wife Alice who is a guru with interiors, they transformed the space formerly known as No Man’s Grace into a comfortable, casual, atmospheric restaurant and wine bar. Nick is also an artist and painted every painting that is exhibited in the restaurant! All paintings are for sale (POA).

The all Italian (Sicilian and sometimes Sardinian) kitchen team is led by Gianpiero Mugnano who has a wealth of knowledge and expertise, he has been given almost free rein of the menu which has a huge emphasis on seasonal, fresh, produce with influences stretching across Italy and a doff of the cap towards both Japan and Spain.
